Since returning to the UK, Nick has worked extensively for Heritage Opera, singing Don Ottavio/Don Giovanni, Pinkerton/Madame Butterfly, Eisenstein/Die Fledermaus and Ferrando/Così Fan tutte.

Musically speaking, G&S was his first love, and he began his professional career with Carl Rosa Opera in 2002 and sang Nanki-Poo, Rafe, Marco and Fairfax for them before moving on to other projects, although he continues to appear as a guest soloist from time to time. For the Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, he sang Rafe Rackstraw in 2009 and Nanki-Poo in 2010 at the International G&S Festival in Buxton.
