JEREMY PEAKER
Artistic Director of the company
Jeremy is from Barnsley in Yorkshire and spent his first eight years of professional life as a Colliery Stores Manager for the NCB. In 1985 he gained a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied under
Noelle Barker OBE.
In 1988 he became a Founder member of the New D’Oyly
Carte Opera Company,
playing the roles of Jack Point Yeomen

King and The Major GeneralPirates

baritone in the company's 'Gilbert
And Sullivan A La Carte' concerts

For Scottish Chamber Orchestra Escamillo, Carmen and a G & S Scottish Prom in Glasgow. Jeremy was in the international tour of Chess playing Molokov and Walter De Courcey as far away as Trondheim in Norway, and Dublin in Ireland.
For London Savoyards, the entire Gilbert and Sullivan repertoire,
at the Barbican Hall. Jeremy is a full time member of Opera North
where his roles are Slade in the European Premier of Kurt Weills
