THE BRITISH PHILHARMONIC CONCERT ORCHESTRA
Hitting the Top Note in Entertainment
The British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra was formed from a group of Midland and Northern based musicians in 1996 by Jeremy Peaker and Russell Swift.
The Orchestra have been playing a wide range of Concert music all over Britain from The Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Nottingham Royal Concert Hall, Plymouth Pavilions and Hall for Cornwall to the Whitley Bay Playhouse and Blackpool Grand Theatre. Outdoor Events such as Lincoln Castle Proms with fireworks are also part of the orchestra's programme.
The orchestra were invited to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Theatre Royal Newcastle on New Years Eve 2001 in a special Gala Concert presented by Lesley Joseph. They have spent a week’s season at the Opera House, St Helier, Jersey, playing a season of concerts from Opera to Peter and The Wolf. They are frequently in demand for their special Proms Concerts and Movie Nights and are currently breaking new ground with children and family based shows with audience participation.
The orchestra’s main aim is to bring popular classics to the masses at an affordable rate and we feel as though we are starting to achieve our goal.
We hope that you can enjoy an evening with the orchestra at a venue near you soon and that you will support us in the future. Listen to the music, let it transport you to another world and have fun.
