Phil Penfold
Phil Penfold, is a writer, broadcaster and journalist who has been
associated with every branch of the entertainment and showbusiness
scene. A frequent guest speaker for all manner of groups and societies,
he has worked for the BBC on
radio and TV, and
also for ITV. As
a freelance writer, he has contributed to newspapers and magazines
as diverse as the Daily
Mail, Tv
Quick, Eva, Sunday
Mirror,
as well as many of the regional papers.
He has interviewed everyone from Clint
Eastwood to Barbara
Windsor, from Bette
Davis to Dustin
Hoffman and Dame
Joan Sutherland. He
was showbusiness editor of Yorkshire
On Sunday and has been
the main theatre critic for Teletext over
the last 7 years. Phil has written pantomimes on over a dozen subjects
- many of them professionally produced - collects theatrical anecdotes
and memorabilia, and has contributed notes from record
sleeves to programmes. Phil is currently freelancing as a writer.
