Sally Anne Shepherdson

Sally-Ann was born in Yorkshire and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music, the National Opera Studio and in Paris, funded by a major award from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
She has appeared with Scottish Opera, English Touring Opera, the D’Oyly Carte, Opera Factory, Pavilion Opera, European Chamber Opera, English Festival Opera, Opera Northern Ireland, Castle Ward Opera, Garsington Opera, Mid-Wales Opera, Opera Interludes and many others, touring throughout Britain, to Europe, the USA and the Far East. For television she has sung the roles of Emma in the award-winning BBC serialisation of Marschner’s ‘The Vampyr’, and Barbarina in the Channel 4 film of
Opera Factory’s ‘Figaro’.
Recent engagements have included Adina L’Elisir d’Amore at the Holland Park Opera Festival, Susanna Le Nozze di Figaro for Diva Opera in France and Poland, Rosalinde Die Fledermaus at the Longborough Festival, Musetta La Bohème for Diva Opera, Frasquita Carmen for Raymond Gubbay at the Royal Albert Hall and tours of Viennese Operetta Galas and Gilbert and Sullivan Concerts.
Sally-Ann’s roles include Pamina and First Lady Die Zauberflöte, Despina Cosi fan Tutte Rosina Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Micaëla and Frasquita Carmen, Zerlina Don Giovanni, Valencienne The Merry Widow, Violetta La Traviata, Nella Gianni Schicchi and Yum-Yum The Mikado. Sally-Ann has performed regularly for P&O Cruises, and was a guest artist on the World Cruise in 2004.
